Zenale Building Renovation wins the First Prize in Under 40 Competition, new architectural proposal, Renovation Section, 3rd edition. The jury, composed by Arch. Manuel Aires Mateus, Arch. Emilio Caravatti, Arch. Luca Molinari, Arch. Paola Pierotti, Arch. Umberto Riva, appreciates the harmonious insertion of the building in the dense and complex urban landscape. The proportion and the finishing solution makes this intervention interesting for new solutions in the urban contest.

The restoration project of a traditional rustic structure in Val Di Mela near Olbia in Sardegna won second place in the competition for architectural solutions in Sardinia that are characterized by sensitivity to landscape and environmental sustainability. FTA’s awarded project is defined by its natural insertion into the landscape through the utilization of materials and techniques that respect local construction methods along with the application of contemporary environmental strategies geared toward minimizing energetic consumption while maximizing the thermal comfort of users.
The aim of competition was to propose new structures and facilities for tourism and recreation on the Sardinian coast. Our proposal was created for the Liscia beach, located on the north part of the island between the town of Santa Teresa di Gallura and Palau. The project's context in the protected natural area of the river of Liscia, posed inherent challenges, creating the need confront and resolve the environmental limits of the area through an energetically self-sufficient structure, harmoniously integrated in the existing landscape. To reach this ambitious aim the project branches three different scales: 1. masterplan: the area is divided in functional zones according to various users (pedestrians, bicycles, vehicles) in order to reduce the visual impact of the new structures within the natural landscape, 2. building:the design principle responds to need for maximum flexibility and a simplified the assembly process 3. module: the elements proposed are a contemporary reinterpretations of traditional,local,construction materials and guaranty maximum resistance to the coast's aggressive climate.
Zenale Building is one of the Winners of the World Architecture Awards 20+10+X 7th Cycle. The intervention foresees the complete renovation of a building in Milan’s historic city center, originally constructed in 1901. The building houses apartments, workshops and stores on the ground floor.

The ecohouse project in Curno (Bg) by FTA and Oneoffice has been awarded with the 1st prize in the 'concrete' category. The winning projects will be invited in Bologna at the SAIE exhibition to present their projects in a special seminar chaired by architect Cucinella. The project will be shown in the special exhibition 'Cuore Mostra SAIE 2009' in the framework of the SAIE International Building Exhibition.

From July 8TH to September 30TH ALA led lamp will be shown at the MCM space in Milan’s Triennale. ALA is among a handful of products presented in "NUOVI MATERIALI & IMPRESE".
