Set within a landscape of rolling hills and centuries-old olive groves, the hospital serves as a regional center for oncology, neurosurgery, orthopedics, and postgraduate medical training. The complex consists of two main inpatient volumes and a lower building housing public functions and support services. The design is guided by two key principles: the humanization of healthcare environments and the seamless integration of indoor and outdoor spaces. Carefully designed gardens with olive trees and Mediterranean planting extend into the building through a central boulevard and landscaped courtyards, creating restorative spaces for patients, staff, and visitors. This close relationship between architecture and nature continues across the site and onto parts of the roofscape, while abundant natural light enhances user comfort and contributes to the building's overall energy efficiency.
